About Me
Thanks for coming to my site! :-)
My name is Sarah. I’m a Jersey City, NJ based lighting designer for theater, opera, dance, film & TV. I graduated from Rutgers University in 2022 with a BFA in Lighting Design, where I studied under the mentorship of Don Holder & Cat Tate Starmer.
My career since then has taken me to the far reaches of the earth - I’ve worked in the most intimate (& dustiest!) basement theaters in NY to the largest stage on Earth in Xi’an, China. No project is too small OR too big. No matter where I am, I am always concerned with the storytelling. I’m good at making a lot with little resources.
A couple words to describe me: collaborative, scrappy, dedicated, loyal
Please drop me a line thru email or on socials - I would love to hear about your next project!
Proud member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.
